Hello, I would like to purchase annual passes for my family. We are planning to go to the parks in March How for in advance should we purchase the passes, and do they expire a year after they are purchased or a year after the first day used? Thank you!

    Dear Jennifer,

Thank you so much for reaching out to us here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question about planning ahead for your Walt Disney World Annual Pass!

Becoming an Annual Passholder was one of the best Disney decisions that I have ever made! The Annual Pass opens up so many benefits to you - you will NOT regret it! In terms of timing, I recommend that you make the purchase as soon as you are comfortable doing so. If you have a Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation, you can make FastPass+ selections as far as 60 days before your check-in date. If you are not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can use your Annual Pass to make FastPass+ selections up to 30 days before your check-in date! Your Annual Pass does NOT need to be activated in order to do that. Your Annual Pass will be activated on the first day that you use it in the parks, and they will expire one year after that first use.

Hope that helps with your magical planning!
