Hi there, Aurelia. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I've been a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder for many years now and absolutely love it. Some of my favorite program perks include complimentary theme park parking, the use of memory maker for the entire year and discounts on merchandise and restaurants.
At this time, Aurelia, the sale of new
Walt Disney World Annual Passes has been temporarily suspended. We don't have any word yet on when the program might resume for sales. I don't think you will have to wait too much longer to join the Annual Pass family though. Right now, Guests with current Annual Passes that are about to expire are being able to renew at this time. I've been keeping an eye out over on the
Disney Parks Blog for an announcement because I really do think we could see it come any day now especially with the current restrictions lessening.
Until you are able to purchase an Annual Pass, you have two ticket options at this time. You can purchase a standard theme park ticket which allows entry into one park per day or you can purchase a standard theme park ticket with the
park hopper option that allows you to enter multiple Walt Disney World theme parks in one day. I'm partial to park hopping but both choices are great. After you purchase either style of ticket, keep in mind you are also required to make a park pass reservation to visit the theme parks at this time. A park pass reservation is basically like a virtual placeholder in line at the theme park of your choice for the day.
I have my fingers crossed for you that you'll be able to purchase a Walt Disney World Annual Pass soon. If you have any other questions about the program, tickets or anything else please feel free to
come back and ask me. I'm here to help.
Have a great rest of your day, Aurelia!
