Hello there, Eve. Thanks for stopping by
planDisney with your question about Walt Disney World Annual Passes.
I've been a
Walt Disney World Annual Passholder for years now Eve. I can truly say I love the program and it is well worth the initial investment. Eve, with your Walt Disney World Annual Pass, the discounts that you are eligible for are primarily for you. However, as long as you are at the table, you can apply them to a full bill at a restaurant which would cover you and your husband and you would receive the 20% off of the total. You can also be at the cash register with him if he is paying for something, show your current Walt Disney World Annual Pass and I.D. and receive the annual pass discount for merchandise. You would have to be present with him to use your annual pass. If you guys were to be in separate stores or something like that, he would not be able to show your annual pass for a discount. If the discounts are the primary thing you'd like to use it for, then I think you guys would be fine and could make it work with just one annual pass. However, if there are special Walt Disney World Annual Pass events, like a passholder preview for a new attraction or something like that, only you, the true annual passholder, would be able to attend. Passholder previews really aren't open to Guests of Walt Disney World Annual Passholders.
Eve, if you are on the fence about getting one or two annual passes for your family, I would upgrade to you both having one. It's going to make it so much easier going to the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks together. You'll both be in the same park pass reservation category, you'll both be able to enjoy special passholder events and on the off chance you guys do individual things at the parks, you'll both be eligible for discounts.
I hope this helps with your decision one way or another, Eve. If you have any other questions about the Walt Disney World Annual Passholder program, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help!
