Hi Michael! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with this great question!
With the recent announcement of Annual Passes going on sale later this month, many Guests are gearing up to become a
Walt Disney World Annual Passholder. You'll be happy to know that when you purchase a new Annual Pass, it will not be activated until your first visit to the parks. You'll have one year from the date of purchase to activate the pass. Once you make your first visit, you'll have one year from then to use it until it expires or you renew it. If for some reason you don't activate the pass within a year, you will not lose the value you paid for it. You'll be able to apply this toward an Annual Pass in the future.
Beginning on April 20th, you'll be able to make new purchases on Annual Passes. The
Disney Incredi Pass is available to all Guests and comes with no blockout dates throughout the year. You'll receive a host of benefits and discounts by becoming a Passholder that will help save on each trip! You'll also get standard theme park parking at each of the parks.
Michael, I'm excited that you are considering becoming an
Annual Passholder. It has always been a dream of mine to join this club, but I have yet to do so myself. It is comforting to know that the pass will not activate until your first visit. This way, you can go ahead and purchase them while they are on sale. Passes will be subject to availability, so it will be best to make the purchase as soon as they go on sale!
Have a magical day!
Greg
