Hello and welcome to planDisney, Chris. I'm so glad you've dropped by to ask your question about Walt Disney World Annual Passes.
I've been a
Walt Disney World Annual Passholder for years now, Chris, and I can absolutely say with confidence it is well worth the initial investment. Today was such a happy and long-awaited day for Guests who have been wanting to purchase a Walt Disney World Annual Pass. Since the reopening of Walt Disney World last year, the sale of new Annual Passes has been suspended. But the wait is officially over and I am excited to welcome new Guests, like yourself, to the passholder family!
Chris, I think that you'll be happy to know that your year of use does not start until you activate your Walt Disney World Annual Pass. Activation occurs the first time you use it to scan into a Walt Disney World Theme Park. If you purchase your Walt Disney World Annual Pass now but don't use it until January 2022, it would be valid for the entire year up to January 2023.
With the release of sales for new Walt Disney World Annual Passes came a restructuring of the plans. Now, out-of-sate Guests are only able to purchase the Disney Incredi-Pass which is the highest tier of the new annual passes. With the Disney Incredi-Pass you are going to get 365 days of access to the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks with no blockout dates. You'll also be able to hold up to 5 park pass reservations at a time without a resort stay. This has been a nice change because previously we were only given 3 to use. Another perk of the Disney Incredi-Pass is complimentary theme park parking and discounts on merchandise, food and select resort stays. This is the annual pass tier that I currently have and love it!
I hope this helps, Chris. If you have any other questions about becoming a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
