If I purchase an annual pass to Disney World, how long is it active? Is it from the date I purchase it or the date I first use it? I am considering purchasing them, but won't use them for the first time until October. Thank you!

    Hi Scott,

I love being a long-time Walt Disney World annual passholder. It's so fabulous to know that I can experience the Disney magic any time I can find the time for a visit throughout the year.

You certainly can purchase your annual pass in advance of your vacation. In fact, I recommend doing that so that you can take advantage of resort discounts and other passholder benefits in advance of your visit. Your pass activates officially on the day you first use it for entrance to a Disney theme park. You then have a full year from that first day to visit again and again.

Enjoy your year as a member of the passholder family, and please let me know if I can help in any other way!
