If I purchase an Annual Pass for my daughter now, but the Pass won't be activated until our August arrival, can I purchase an After Hours ticket for her? Or am I unable to purchase the After Hours tickets until the Pass has been activated?

    Hiya Jennifer,

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney again! We truly appreciate you coming back with another great question, this time about After Hours events. I’m so happy to help sprinkle a little clarity (and pixie dust) your way!

Let’s jump right into your question. After Hours tickets are a completely separate event ticket and aren’t tied to an Annual Pass. So Jennifer, the great news is you can absolutely purchase an After Hours ticket without her Annual Pass being activated. Along with the ticket, you and your daughter can get a head start on the magic by entering the park as early as 7:00 PM, a few hours before the event officially begins. Talk about a practically perfect way to start the night!

My daughter and I had the chance to attend an After Hours event at Hollywood Studios last summer, and it truly was amazing. The wait times were so low; we met some special characters, including Bert from Mary Poppins, and, yes, we enjoyed more Mickey Bars and popcorn than I’ll ever admit out loud.  It’s one of those core memory Disney nights that we still talk about all the time.

I hope you and your daughter have the most magical evening! If you have any more questions, you know where to find us.

    See ya real soon,
    Christina
