When you purchase an annual pass how do you get the card? Is it mailed to you? I’m a Florida resident but I only have my passport not a state ID. Thanks so much!

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Sarah!

You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney! Thanks so much for bringing us your question about Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passes. Oh boy - it sounds like you're planning to spend more time at The Most Magical Place on Earth! As an Annual Passholder, not only will you be able to visit the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks more regularly, but you'll receive exclusive benefits like discounts on dining and merchandise and complimentary standard theme park parking.

Sarah, I also purchased an Annual Pass this past week and am so excited to start using it! After purchase, your Annual Passholder status will be reflected in My Disney Experience under Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker, and also in the My Disney Experience mobile app. Before activation, your expiration date will be reflected as one year from your purchase date, but this date will be updated once your pass is activated so that your Pass's expiration date is consistent with your activation date. You will not receive a physical card in the mail, but can pick up your card at any Guest Relations location or theme park ticket booth once you arrive onsite! At that time, a friendly Cast Member will verify your purchase (as well as proof of residency, if you purchased an Annual Pass exclusive to Florida residents and didn't complete digital residency verification) and provide you with that magical little card.

Be sure to check out the accepted forms of identification for proof of Florida residency before you head to the ticket booth, Sarah. Since you mentioned that you don't have a state-issued ID, I encourage you to bring your passport as well as a utility bill, mortgage statement, insurance policy, or piece of mail displaying your residential address. These materials should be sufficient for a Cast Member to verify your residency.

According to the Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass Terms & Conditions, your Annual Pass is activated the first time it's used to enter a theme park and is valid for one year from that date. That's a whole lot of theme park time, Sarah! I hope you enjoy every magical moment as an Annual Passholder. If you have any additional questions, please revisit us here at planDisney again - we're all ears!

    See ya real soon,

    Lauren
