Hi Dulce! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
Currently, all sales of
Magic Keys are paused, and there is no official word on when they might be available again. So, while the answer is yes, you can upgrade an eligible valid
admission ticket to a Magic Key, they must be available for you to do so. Maybe they'll be back by the time your visit rolls around! Fingers crossed. Just in case, I'll walk you through the process, so you can be ready if so.
An upgrade can be completed in the
Disneyland mobile app. On the app, visit the "Tickets and Passes" screen and make sure your ticket is linked. One-day admission tickets must be upgraded by midnight on the day of your park visit. With multi-day tickets, you must upgrade to a Magic Key before midnight on the last day of use of your tickets. Please check the
rules associated with upgrades to ensure you're eligible and fully understand the terms, which are subject to change.
I hope it works out for you, Dulce. I became a Magic Key holder this year when sales opened up after a pause, and I've enjoyed the perks,
discounts, and increased access to the magic. The select dining discount is one of my favorite aspects of being a Magic Key holder since we really enjoy dining in the parks.
I hope that same magic is in your future. If you'd like to be the first to know if sales open up again, I have some suggestions. First, update your profile on the Disneyland Resort website to make sure you're receiving all communications. Second, follow the
Disney Parks Blog, which is the official source for all parks news. Finally, follow the official
Disneyland Magic Key blog. It's where I've learned about all the fun exclusives available to me as a Magic Key holder. But it's not only a great resource for current Magic Key holders, it also announced the sale of new Magic Keys when they opened up in the past, which could be very useful for you.
Have a magical day!
Elizabeth
