If I purchase an annual pass now (2015), can I activate it in Oct 2017?

Hi Jo, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

This is such a great question. I called Walt Disney World Guest Relations to be sure I got you the best answer I could - and I'm happy to report that you can indeed buy your Annual Pass now and activate it in 2017! The Cast Member I spoke with told me that if you purchase your pass online, you'll receive an exchange certificate that you'll then take to a Guest Relations location at any of the Theme Parks to pick up your admission cards. Once you've activated them, your Annual Passes are then good for 365 days from that date.

I'm so glad you stopped by to see us today with your question, Jo. I learned something new myself! I hope you have fun planning lots of Disney days in the future - and please come visit us again if you have any more questions. We love to help!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
