Hi Salina!
It sounds like you are planning one magical visit to the Disneyland Resort! I'm sure you're eager to get all your Disneyland ducks in a row, so let's take a look at your question.
Before you scan into those Main Entrance Gates, you'll want to get your
theme park tickets sorted, and that means also thinking through if you want to add on options like the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Regarding theme park tickets, Mousekeeters under 3 are Guests of Mickey himself and do not require a ticket. That's one pixie-dusted perk for little ones!
The Lightning Lane Multi Pass allows you to skip the traditional standby queue and hop into Lightning Lanes on select attractions, maximizing the magic in your day. Guests will be asked to tap their MagicBand+ or their digital tickets to gain access to the Lightning Lane. When you purchase multiple tickets on the Disneyland website in one transaction, you will be offered the option to add the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, but it will apply to all of the tickets in your cart. If you are hoping to only purchase for select Guests, you have a few options. You could make separate purchases online - one for those tickets that include the Lightning Lane pass and the second for those that will just be standard tickets. Another option, which may be easier, is to purchase standard tickets for your full party and add Multi Pass in the Disneyland app ahead of your visit. Once purchased, head to the three-line icon in the bottom right-hand corner, select "My Tickets & Passes", and tap "Change Ticket". Here, you can select which tickets to modify and follow the instructions from there. Alternatively, you can wait until you scan into Disneyland or California Adventure. Once you scan in and open the Disneyland Mobile App, you will see an option to purchase the Multi Pass at the top of the home page. Tap the "Purchase" button, and you will see that you can "Confirm Your Party". Any tickets that are linked to your account that have scanned into the park that day will show as being eligible for the Multi Pass. Before you know it, you will be booking your first Lightning Lane!
One thing to consider if you have
younger Mouseketeers in your party is that Guests under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a Guest who is 14 years of age or older. Additionally, a Guest must be at least
7 years old to board an attraction on their own. If you are booking Lightning Lane Multi Pass for just the kids in your group, they would need to be at least 7 to ride on their own, otherwise, an adult or Guest 14+ will also need to purchase the Lightning Lane Multi Pass and plan to ride with them.
Your visit is aligned with a very magical day - the kick-off to the
70th Anniversary! With new entertainment, nighttime spectaculars, merchandise, food, and Mickey and Minnie in their 70th anniversary looks, it is truly a very special time to be in the parks. If you love a good Disneyland sweet treat, the Disney Parks Blog just dropped their
70th Anniversary Foodie Guide, which gives you a rundown of all the limited-edition offerings! I've got my eye on that 70th Celebration Churro!
Here's to a magical visit!
