Have all pull out couches in the deluxe rooms at Saratoga Springs Resort been upgraded to murphy beds? Or are there some rooms that still have the pullout couch?

Welcome Home, Carissa! Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Vacation Club corner of planDisney. You've got a friend in me, and I'm here to help with your vacation planning question.

Any time is a great time for a stay at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa! This resort in particular always feels very peaceful--it's like a lovely Victorian oasis right in the heart of Walt Disney World Resort. My enthusiasm for the on-site health club is well-documented, and I love being able to walk to Disney Springs from the resort! I'm looking forward to a Saratoga stay later this year with my planDisney besties, so I'm extra-invested in tracking down an answer for your couch query.

One thing I always appreciate as a Disney Vacation Club Member is the attention to detail that goes into all of the resorts. To keep things looking ship-shape, all of the DVC properties are on a regular schedule of refurbishments and renovations. In many of the Deluxe Studios, the pull-out couches have been replaced with Murphy beds. I haven't experienced a stay with one yet, but have heard that they are super-comfortable and a great space saver! I spoke with Member Services, who confirmed that all of the Studios at Saratoga Springs now have the Murphy beds.

Carissa, since you'll be just a hop, skip, and a jump (or a boat!) from Disney Springs, let me share a few suggestions to add a bit of extra magic for your next Walt Disney World vacation!
    • The Cirque du Soleil show Drawn to Life is a captivating experience for Guests of all ages. It combines the mind-blowing feats of Cirque du Soleil with beloved Disney stories and animation. I recommend sitting a little farther back in the audience so you can really appreciate everything happening!
    • Pick up some treats to add a little sweetness to your day at the Springs. I can't get enough of the cookies at Gideon's Bakehouse (paired best with a Peanut Butter Cold Brew), while my pal Brent suggests a visit to Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew, and West Coast buddy Melissa loves the Petit Cakes at Amorette's Patisserie.
    • Leave some room in your luggage to pack some great finds from the fantastic shops. My teenagers are always happy to spend a few hours shopping for clothing, accessories, and fantastic Disney merch. I recently learned from planDisney expert Jenna that you can even acquire custom denim from Levi's!
I hope you're busy planning your next getaway to Saratoga Springs, Carissa! Thanks again for visiting planDisney--if there are any additional questions that we can help with, please reach out anytime.
