Hey Shayla,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m happy to hear you’re planning to visit the pool at
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort during your next visit. I didn’t fully appreciate the activities offered at Disney Resorts until I started visiting Walt Disney World with my young kids.
Personal flotation devices are allowed at the Disney Resort pools if they are Coast Guard-approved. You can search your specific flotation device to make sure it is Coast Guard-approved. There are several
pools at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, the Finding Nemo-themed Big Blue Pool, the Cozy Cone Pool inspired by Cars, and the Flippin’ Fins Pool with details from The Little Mermaid. Complimentary life vests are available at the pools, however it’s not guaranteed that your child’s size will be available. Towels are also provided at each of the pools.
When you arrive at Disney’s Art of Animation, look for the resort activities guide posted in the Resort lobby. I always find this calendar and snap a picture with my phone to refer back to throughout my vacation. Most Disney Resorts have
campfires nightly, with complimentary marshmallows for roasting. You can purchase kits to make s’mores, but my kids are always happy after snacking on their toasted marshmallows. In my experience, the campfire is the perfect activity to wind down before returning to the room for an early bedtime. And while we’re talking bedtime, we love to find the Disney bedtime stories playing on the Resort TV each evening. During a recent visit, we could watch the bedtime stories playing on the Classic Cartoons channel beginning around 7:00 pm each night.
Enjoy your fun in the sun during your Walt Disney World vacation, Shayla! If you have any more questions before your upcoming visit, you can come back and
ask me directly at planDisney!
