Well, hello there! Welcome to planDisney, Brianna!
One of my favorite things about visiting Walt Disney World is that I don’t have to worry about driving during my vacation. From boats,
convenient bus transportation, and even a
highway in the sky, there is always a way to get where you’re going, allowing you to kick back, relax, and enjoy your vacation! So, let’s talk about it!
While
water taxi transportation is available at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, it only connects to
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, and
Disney Springs. Therefore, there is no direct boat access from Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside to the theme parks. But, worry not, there is still complimentary Walt Disney World Bus Transportation to take you to all four theme parks! These buses are a super-easy way to get around, so all you’ll need to do is head over to one of the four bus stops at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, and you are on your way!
Brianna, since you’ll be so close, I definitely recommend checking out the many fabulous restaurants over at Disney Springs. The food here always blows me away! Not shocking, as there are multiple restaurants at Disney Springs run by James Beard Award-winning Chefs! How cool is that? My personal favorite spot is
Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’. They have some of the best friend chicken you will ever have. I’m also still dreaming about the Okra Fries appetizer! This is definitely a popular spot, so you’ll want to secure an
Advanced Dining Reservation ahead of your visit. You can make Advanced Dining Reservations 60 days in advance of your arrival date, starting at 6:00 a.m. Plus, since you’re staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you get the added benefit of being able to book for your entire stay (for up to 10 days) 60 days before your scheduled check-in. So, you get a jump start on securing some of those hard-to-snag reservations at Walt Disney World's most popular restaurants. How great is that?
It would be my absolute pleasure to answer any other questions you may have ahead of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, so I hope to see again you real soon!
Until next time,
Diana
