Hi there, Brian! Wow, it has been a while since we’ve seen you around these parts, but I am so glad you’re back with another question for us. It sounds like you are making plans for a visit to Walt Disney World soon. I am excited to hear it! Things may be a little different than the last time you visited, and as you’ve discovered,
Park Pass Reservations are at the heart of the changes! Each Guest that wishes to visit a Disney Theme Park needs both a valid
Theme Park Ticket plus a Disney Park Pass Reservation for each day they wish to visit a Theme Park.
Regarding the availability of Park Passes, you are also correct in that this is subject to change. As Disney makes updates to capacity over time and Guests change their plans, more reservations may open for Parks as the dates draw nearer. You cannot modify Park Pass Reservations, however, and you must cancel the original reservation before you can make another. The new Reservation could be made on the same day you wish to visit, and there is no cutoff as to when it can be made. The only limiting factor will be
availability, so please make sure you confirm availability prior to canceling your original Park Pass Reservation! I would hate for you to cancel your original reservation and be left with none to replace it with. Otherwise, you should be all set!
Brian, I hope that this information helps you continue to make plans for your next Walt Disney World vacation. Check out the
Experience Updates pages for more details on all the changes being made in and around the Disney Parks, as this information changes often! Please know that we are here during every step of the process, so do not hesitate to come back and see us again very soon!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Clara
