Hi Lanedda, and welcome to planDisney from the Land of Pleasant Living. Thanks for the question.
I’m right there with you. When you start planning a
Walt Disney World vacation, the costs can stack up quickly. Between your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, theme park tickets, dining, transportation, and the must-have Mickey snacks, budgeting becomes a huge part of the process for most families, including mine.
Disney does not offer traditional financing for the purchase of
theme park tickets on their own. The one exception is when you bundle those tickets with your Disney Resort hotel reservation and book a vacation package. With a package, you only pay a deposit up front, and then you can chip away at the balance however and whenever you want until the final payment is due thirty days before arrival. It is not a structured payment plan, but the flexibility is even better because you choose the timing and amount of each payment.
If you are looking to stretch your budget a bit further once you arrive, I’ve got a few things I always do. My family orders a small grocery delivery to our resort with snacks, breakfast items, or drinks we can grab before heading out in the morning or toss into a park bag. We always get the Resort Refillable Mug for unlimited refills of coffee, tea, and soda during our stay, and the refillable popcorn bucket is a great deal if you like to snack between attractions. Some Guests also buy discounted Disney gift cards through select retailers to apply toward their trip.
I hope this helps you map out the best approach for your vacation, Lanedda. If you want to run through more planning tips or talk through resort or ticket options, feel free to
send another question our way at planDisney.
See you real soon!
