hello all the pros! thanks in advance. silly questions. is it a lot more expensive when we dine in downtown disney and shop at the world's largest disney store? thinking about shop before we arrive, is the mcdonal more expensive than the regular?

    Hi Rachel!

I love being called a "pro" instead of a "Disney Nerd!"  I still have a LOT of silly questions about Walt Disney World, so please don't feel bad.  The restaurants at Downtown Disney are actually pretty reasonable, when compared to the rest of WDW.  Restaurants like the Rainforest Cafe the the T-Rex Cafe are a little more expensive, than say the Applebee's at home, because you are also paying for the outrageous atmosphere.  Even the McDonalds is pretty cool!  As far as "The World of Disney," I don't find that it is any more expensive than the Disney Store back home.  However, the selection is about 100 times what you are used to.  We absolutely adore Downtown Disney and always plan at least one visit per trip.  Have a great time!
