Welcome to planDisney, Susan!
Take a deep breath, because you’ll be visiting your Disney hOMe before you know it!
As a yoga instructor and enthusiast, I am always monitoring yoga offerings at Disney World — and I’m very excited to share my list with you today.
Happening in the month of January is
Disney Springs Wellness Month presented by AdventHealth. I’m thrilled for this month-long event and highly recommend checking out all of the classes (including yoga), benefits, and events being offered.
In February, during the Disney Princess Half Marathon presented by CORKCICLE,
Disney Princess Yoga will be offering magic, balance, and peace to participating yogis! (Though this event is currently sold out, you can watch the
runDisney website for updates.)
April’s runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend will include a
Springtime Sunrise Yoga and there are still tickets available! On April 3, 2025 at 5:00am, Hollywood Studios will transform into an outdoor yoga studio! In addition to a fabulous instructor-led hour-long class, you’ll also receive a yoga mat and water.
I believe it will be likely that additional runDisney events throughout the year will also be hosting yoga events, so I highly recommend following runDisney on social media and watching the
runDisney website. These special events tend to sell out quickly — so stay tuned in.
There are typically
yoga classes offered at select Disney Hotels weekly, Susan. Upon arrival, I recommend going to the front desk and asking about their offerings and any yoga (or other recreational) events happening during your stay. These types of classes are continually evolving, so it will be best to get the information first-hand from your concierge.
Disney Resort Hotels tend to have quiet corners all around, Susan. If you have a foldable travel yoga mat, I recommend packing it, as you may find a surprisingly peaceful place to enjoy your practice of yoga while on vacation.
I also love discovering quiet corners within the theme parks to recenter with breath when needed. (If you want my favorite locations to decompress within the theme parks, let me know!) When I find a quiet place, I bring one hand to my belly, one hand to my chest, and I close my eyes. Then I send a breath into my belly, through my ribs, and up into my chest — then exhale out my chest, down through my ribs, and finally out my belly. Repeating this a few times does wonders for my energy, and helps me stay present and peaceful.
I hope you’re able to enjoy some yoga while you visit The Most Magical Place on Earth, Susan. Sending you all the best.
Namaste,
Allyn
