Welcome to
planDisney, Ryan!
Thanks for stopping by with a question about your upcoming summer vacation to the
Most Magical Place on Earth. I'm a fellow
Annual Passholder, but I am visiting this spring with family members who are not, so I'm in your exact situation. I'd be happy to assist you!
For your trip, the Guests with date-based tickets do not need to make theme park reservations. Currently, Annual Passholders still need to make
theme park reservations, even when staying in a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. I have upcoming stays in February and March and have already made theme park reservations for both visits. My family members staying with me purchased date-based
tickets and did not need to reserve a specific theme park.
To make a theme park reservation for a resort stay with your Annual Pass, select "Theme Park Reservations" from the My Disney Experience drop-down menu and then "Make or Modify Theme Park Reservations." On the next screen, click "Make a Park Reservation" inside the box that says "Annual Passholders with a Hotel Reservation." Finally, choose the resort stay for which you're making theme park reservations, and reserve the days you'll visit.
I hope this is helpful, Ryan. I see your Walt Disney World adventure begins this summer. There are a lot of incredible experiences on the horizon for the Disney Parks in
2024. Be sure to follow the
Disney Parks Blog so you don't miss any excitement. My family is most anxious about the final stages of
EPCOT's transformation and the opening of
Tiana's Bayou Adventure in
Magic Kingdom Park. Best wishes for a magical vacation, and come see us again if you have any other planning questions before you leave in June. We're all ears!
