Hi, is proof of vaccination required for entry in Disney CA? Saw similar questions in 2022 and Feb 2023. Is it still not required? What about mask wearing? Any tips to better enjoy the 100th year anniversary? Thanks!

Hi there, Christine, and welcome to planDisney! Your trip to the Disneyland Resort will be here before you know it!

Currently, face coverings are optional but recommended for Guests in all indoor locations, and proof of vaccination is not required to enter the Disneyland Resort. There is a What To Know Before You Go page that provides these details, but I'm not sure if it is accessible on international versions of the Disneyland website.

Have you made your theme park reservations already for each day of your trip? To enter a park, you'll need both a theme park reservation and a valid theme park ticket. If you went through a travel agent then you should be all set, but if you booked your vacation on your own then that is a detail I like to make sure people have covered!

In terms of the Disney100 celebration - you are in for a treat! I was just in the parks recently and got to enjoy all the beautiful Disney100 décor that is up around the parks. Keep an eye out for the special Disney100 monorail - it has a really cool iridescent wrap. I loved watching it cruise overhead around us while in Disneyland Park.

There are so many delicious food and beverage offerings that are part of this celebration as well. I like to save the Disney Parks Blog Foodie Guide on my phone and use it as a checklist of deliciousness while roaming around the parks. On my most recent trip, I tried the Potato & Cheddar Cheeseburger from Hungry Bear Restaurant, and it was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend it! Make sure also to pick up some beignets while there as well.

On the entertainment side, you most definitely need to make space in your schedule to see the "Magic Happens" Parade. This was so fun to watch, and I was excited to see a float for one of my all-time favorites, The Sword in the Stone. I watched the afternoon version, but I might actually recommend watching the later showing so you can see all the floats lit up at night!

Additionally, the new nighttime spectaculars - Wondrous Journeys and World of Color - ONE - are going to take your breath away. Specifically, I loved Wondrous Journeys and was so excited to see a cameo of another character I love, Baymax, appear in a really fun way that you'll have to watch the show to find out. No spoilers here!

Speaking from recent experience, you are going to have an amazing time on your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, Christine. We only covered the Disney100 celebration, so I didn't even get into the newly re-opened Mickey's Toontown! It's never been a better time to visit the Disneyland Resort. As you continue to plan, please feel free to write me back directly with any other questions you might have. I'd love to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
