What proof of residency will be acceptable to demonstrate CA residency before coming to Disneyland and CA Adventure? How can military families (recently moved) show their residency?

Welcome to planDisney, Emily! Thank you for your great question!

I’m sure you heard the exciting news that the Disneyland Resort theme parks will resume operations on April 30th! The official announcement stated that initially attendance will be limited to residents of the state of California. But, we don’t have any official announcement on the forms of identification that will be required as proof of residency.

I can make an educated guess based on special ticket offers in the past. The Southern California Resident Ticket was a special ticket offer that required proof of Southern California residency in order to gain theme park entry. Fellow Panelist and military wife, Kristen N., has some recommendations for what to bring in lieu of the standard government-issued picture ID. She suggests you bring your Military ID, in addition to a utility bill, if you happen to live off-base. If you live on-base, you can bring your Military ID, in addition to your Orders, or your most recent LES reflecting your Current Duty Station.

More information about the ID requirements related to the Disneyland Resort theme park reopening will be available at a later date. For the latest news about the Disneyland Resort, make sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog. Any announcements about how California residents will verify residency and make theme park reservations will be found there first!

I hope this information helps. Please come back to planDisney if you think of any more questions!
