Hi Patricia!
Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your question.
Free Disney Dining Plan offers are a great deal to take advantage of when you can!
These Specials are usually offered as part of a 'package' booking, including a certain minimum number of nights of resort stay
and a certain minimum number of days of Park Tickets. The current offer for example is for a 6-night/7-day Magic Your Way room and ticket package at select resorts. The ticket component of the package is a 7-day Base Ticket, meaning that it allows for 1 Park to be visited per day. There is no necessity however, to visit the parks during your stay.
If you wish, you may certainly opt to book the
Special Offer Package without much of a plan to visit the parks. Should you choose to do so, you may also upgrade your Park Tickets to include the
Water Park Fun & More Option which includes Golf at Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course.
Should you decide to spend your time outside the parks, the Disney Dining Plan is accepted at dining locations in the Disney Resort Hotels as well as at Downtown Disney. You could even use your park tickets simply to enter a park in the evening, such as
Epcot, where a whole world of dining options await you!
If you'd like dining recommendations, or have further questions about the Disney Dining Plan or Special Offers, please don't hesitate to write me back. I'd love to hear from you again Patricia!
Wishing you a simply Magical time as you decide on your plans for your next visit to Walt Disney World!
Kirsten
