Hello there, Danielle! Sending you a sunny California welcome from planDisney!
How exciting that your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth is coming up in just a couple of short months! Yay!! It sounds like you're getting all your magical ducks in a row, and I'm happy to help you with the final details.
This is such a great question, as it's a key difference between visiting Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort. It sounds like you might be familiar with the
My Disney Experience app used in Florida, where you can manage separate profiles and create a Family & Friends list. The
Disneyland mobile app works a little differently. Instead of managing separate profiles, you'll simply link your children's theme park tickets directly to your account. This is partly because Guests must be at least 13 years old to have their own MyDisney account.
So, let's get those tickets linked up! There's a good chance they might already be in your account if you purchased them all at the same time. To check, just pop open your Disneyland app and tap the menu (☰) button in the bottom right corner, followed by "My Tickets & Passes." If everyone's tickets are already there, then you're all set!
If you don't see them all, no problem! In the words of Timon and Pumbaa, “Hakuna Matata!”. It means “no worries”, because adding them is a simple fix. On that same screen, just tap the blue plus sign (+) at the top right and select "Link Tickets & Passes". You'll have a couple of super simple options to add them: Either scan your tickets' barcodes by tapping the “Camera” tab, or enter your ticket ID numbers manually on the “Type ID” tab.
Making sure all your tickets are linked together in your app is the key to unlocking so much convenience, especially if you plan to purchase
Lightning Lane Multi Pass. It makes you the official leader of the pack, allowing you to book attraction return times for your entire group at once so you can all zoom off to your next adventure together!
And that's just the beginning of the app's magic! Throughout your visit, it’ll be your best pal for checking current attraction wait times, finding your way to the next enchanted location with handy park maps, and best of all, using the convenient
mobile food and beverage ordering feature. It’s a must-have tool for a magical day!
You're all set, Danielle! With your tickets linked and a quick overview of the app's features, you're ready to navigate the parks like a pro. These tools are all designed to help you spend less time managing details and more time enjoying the laughter, the
churros, and the pure joy with your family. (Speaking of snacks… the
Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration will be making the whole resort sparkle during your visit, so I’d encourage you to take a look at the
70th Celebration Foodie Guide over on the Disney Parks Blog to get some tasty ideas beforehand!). Have an absolutely magical visit!
