    I am in the process of selecting a character dining experience for our family, (this is our first trip to WDW), and wondered if ONLY the characters listed at each restaurant show up or if others appear there as well.

    Hi Ken,

    I am so excited to help you plan your first trip to Walt Disney World!  Your family will have a fantastic time. The characters listed are usually the ones who will be guaranteed to be at the restaurant although this is subject to change as well.  I wouldn't count on any other character to attend and just think of it as a bonus if it happens.  Some of my family's favorite character dining experiences are The Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom where you will have a wonderful buffet meal and meet Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet.  The Garden Grill Restaurant at Epcot is a rotating restaurant through the Living with the Land attraction, and you will meet Chip, Dale, Mickey Mouse, and Pluto.  At the Animal Kingdom at the Tusker House, you can eat at Donald's Safari Character Breakfast and see Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Mickey Mouse, and Goofy. If you would like to dine with the Princesses, I would recommend dinner at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to see Cinderella, Prince Charming, and sometimes the Fairy Godmother or the Step Sisters.  Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot is a wonderful way to meet many of the other Princesses but Cinderella doesn't make an appearance.  Please send me a follow up question, Ken, if I can help you further.  Have a magical vacation.
