Hello there Jessica,
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for your question!
The Disneyland Resort does such a good job of making things accessible. I've visited in recent years with family members who have needed additional assistance, and we are continually wowed by how far Cast Members go to make sure everyone can have a magical trip.
As for mobility devices, you have a few options. You can
rent an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) or manual wheelchair from the Disneyland Resort - the rental desk is located just east of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance. If you're renting them from the resort, the ECVs cost $60 plus sales tax per day and manual wheelchairs are $15 per day (prices subject to change). A limited number of rentals are available and only offered on a first-come, first-served basis - they may not be reserved.
For Guests staying at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort, another option would be to pre-order through the Disney Featured Provider - ScooterBug, a private mobility rental company. Their information is on the bottom of the
ECV and Wheelchair rental page.
It might also be worth looking into the
Disability Access Service (DAS), which allows Guests who have difficulty tolerating extended waits in a conventional queue environment due to a disability to get access to return times for experiences around the parks. It involves registration with a Cast Member, so I would recommend pre-registering through
DAS Advance if you'd like to try this option.
When I've visited the parks with older family members, we love to take breaks by riding the
Disneyland Railroad all the way around Disneyland Park. I'm also a huge fan of finding a nice park bench to enjoy a churro while enjoying the sights and sounds of the park!
Thanks again for your question, Jessica! I hope you have a fantastic trip to the Happiest Place on Earth.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
