Hey Howdy Hey Jessica and welcome to planDisney!
It's always so exciting getting plans together for a trip to Walt Disney World Resort! Glad to hear you are looking into the specifics with dining locations as they can be tough to sort through. I will preface this information with everything is subject to change. There is so much going on right now with reopenings that I will give you what we know as of now and what to look out for in the future.
Currently, the only restaurant in Walt Disney World that you have to pre-pay for your reservation is
Cinderella's Royal Table in Magic Kingdom. The other one to keep an eye out for would be
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Review at the Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. This one, in particular, is not currently open but accepting reservations starting on May 26 for an expected opening date of June 23. This one you did have to prepay for in the past but we will wait and see what happens next month when the reservations open.
For all the other locations you do have to put a credit card in when making the reservations which will be charged if you do not show up for a dining reservation or you cancel less than 24 hours from your reservation time.
Keep researching the dining options as you still have plenty of time to make your "must-do" list. Advanced dining reservations open 60 days for guests staying onsite at a Disney Resort Collection hotel so make sure you are ready for the big day!
One final tip as you are getting your strategy together for making the reservations, character meals fill up fast, so when the day comes, make sure to try and book those first. Don't be afraid to take whatever reservation is out there and keep checking back on your
My Disney Experience app to tinker around with the times if you are not able to get the time you want. You would be surprised how much this can change!
Good luck with your continued planning and please let us know if you have any further questions.
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
