We are in the process of planning our Disney trip. Could you share the major differences between Disney's Animal Kingdom Jambo House, Kidani House and the lodge?

Jambo (or "welcome", in Swahili) Kelli!

My family just stayed at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge last month and it was fabulous!  Even though we stayed in Jambo House (the main lodge building), we made a point to go explore Kidani Village while we were there, so hopefully I can address your questions.

Jambo House was built ten years ago adjacent to Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park.  It was simply known as Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge at the time.  This building has an inspiring, cavernous lobby and the majority of the resort's restaurants are located here.  Kidani Village was just opened a few years ago and it is owned and operated by Disney Vacation Club.  The rooms here are deluxe studios or one- to three-bedroom villas.  The rooms in Jambo House include deluxe studios, villas, concierge rooms, and more traditional hotel rooms.  Kidani's lobby is much smaller and more intimate.  Both Kidani and Jambo House offer savanna-view rooms upon request and an extra fee.

If you are looking to stay at the very heart of this resort, I would request a room in Jambo House.  If peaceful seclusion is more your preference, then opt for Kidani Village.

Best wishes as you plan your magical Walt Disney World vacation.  Don't hesitate to post more questions if you have any.
