Hey there, David! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel - and welcome to the Sunshine State! As an almost-brand-new Floridian, I bet you're getting excited! I love my quirky home state, and I really hope you will, too.
And of course, having the Walt Disney World Resort as a neighbor is one of the best parts of living in Florida! I know you're looking forward to visiting as often as you can, so let's make sure you can take advantage of your Florida Resident discount.
Here's what you need to know: When you buy
Florida Resident Tickets or Annual Passes,
each adult who plans to use them must provide
proof of Florida residency before entering a Theme Park. If your wife can get her Florida driver's license beforehand, that would probably be the easiest choice for you. Alternatively, Disney does accept proof of mortgage, utility bills, or mail from financial institutions or government agencies addressed to a Florida residence. If any of those include your wife's name, you should be good to go.
You can always
give Guest Relations a quick call and explain the situation to see what other options you may have.
Whether you're getting the
Florida Resident Discover Disney Tickets or plan to enjoy a whole year of Disney with a
Florida Resident Annual Pass, there's so much magic in store for you! I wish you a smooth transition and lots of Disney days ahead, David. Please come see us again if you have any more questions. We're always here to help!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
