we are in the process of moving to Florida and will have our florida resident proof avaiable by the time our trip is scheduled. Will the pricing be adjusted at that time?

Hi, Cindy! Welcome to planDisney - and welcome to the Sunshine State! It's great to meet a new neighbor! Pull up a chair and let's chat about Walt Disney World!

I'm all about that Florida life, and for me, that means visiting the Walt Disney World Resort as often as I can. There's pretty much no better place for a Disney fan to be than just a hop, a skip, and a jump away from the magic!

But of course, you need tickets! If you haven't already, you should create a free My Disney Experience account. It will help you manage any Walt Disney World plans you make, but it can also identify you as a Florida resident so you see the special offers available to us. If you already have an account, just go into your profile and enter your new Florida address. That should enable you to take advantage of your Florida resident discount when you order tickets online. Then when you arrive at Walt Disney World, you'll take your proof of Florida residency to the Guest Relations window just outside the entrance to any of the theme parks and a Cast Member will activate your tickets for you. And just like that, you're a Floridian!

Cindy, for your first ticket purchase as a Sunshine Stater, I recommend you take a look at the Florida Resident Summer Fun Tickets that Disney recently introduced. It's a really great deal! For $215 plus tax, you get four days of fun in the theme parks between now and September 17, 2021. That works out to only about $54 per day! And here's the really cool part: You don't have to use your tickets on consecutive days, so you can spend a day or two exploring now, and save a couple more days for later if you like. Just keep in mind that you'll need your ticket and a Disney Park Pass reservation to enter the theme parks, so remember to make those reservations before you go.

I'm so excited for your Florida adventure to begin, Cindy! I hope you enjoy lots and lots of Disney magic in your new home, and that you'll come back and see us again if you have any more questions. We're always here to help our neighbors!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
