What is the process to have a day guest (FL resident) visit during a resort stay? Is parking still free for the visitor? Thanks!

    Hello Erica!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney to ask us a great question! I have to tell you that I love having a day guest come visit me at my Walt Disney World Resort during my vacation. I enjoy showing them around my Walt Disney World Resort because there are so many unique features and amenities at each resort and even the room is a tour in itself. On my last Walt Disney World vacation, I had two different Florida friends come visit me at Disney's Pop Century Resort on two separate days and I had the opportunity to show them around Disney's Pop Century Resort.

Yes, you can definitely have a day guest visit you at your Walt Disney World Resort. Your day guest will need to stop at security (typically a small building at the entrance of the resort with gates that lift up and give access to the resort). Your day guest will have to give the Cast Member at security their photo ID such as a drivers license and the name of the Resort Guest that they are visiting which would be you. Also if they have your room number it can help speed up the process of looking up and verifying that you are a Guest staying at that particular resort according to my experience. The parking should be at no charge for your day guest once they have been approved to enter the Walt Disney World Resort.

I hope that you and your day guest have a blast exploring your Walt Disney World Resort on your next Walt Disney World vacation!
