We are in the process of booking our second trip for October 2013. I was wondering if the crowds were lower the week before Columbus Day weekend? I have heard the week of Columbus Day have a higher crowd level.

    Hi Misty,

The week before Columbus Day weekend is generally a great time to go.  You'll notice the crowds get heavier as you get closer to the weekend, with guests trying to stretch out the holiday.  It's really nice.  The weather is warm, the parks are decorated for fall, and Epcot's Food and Wine Festival will just be starting.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
