What is the process for booking a restaurant in Magic Kingdom on Christmas Day?

    Season's greetings, Greg!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for sending us this festive question! Since Christmas is my favourite holiday, I always love spreading the holiday chEAR by answering magical questions like this one. Plus, there is no better way to ring in the season than celebrating at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Since the Walt Disney World Resort is open every day yearly, its offerings are still available on Christmas day. Therefore, you should be able to make dining reservations like you would for any other day! Depending on your location, this can be done online or with an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. Don't forget, however, that dining reservations can only be made 60 days in advance, so you will only be able to make reservations starting on October 26th, 2022. If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, however, Guests can make dining reservations 60 days before their arrival date and for the length of their trip (up to 10 days). Therefore, if you arrive on the 17th and are staying at a Disney Resort, you can make dining reservations for Christmas Day starting on October 18th, 2022.

I always love celebrating the holiday season at the Walt Disney World Resort, as there are so many special offerings to experience! In addition to getting a special meal, you can also experience the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays and watch the Candlelight Processional on Christmas Day, which are some of my favourite things. Outside the theme parks, select Resort hotels will also have beautiful gingerbread displays, which you can visit throughout your stay. Personally, the gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is always my favourite! To stay updated on any other special offerings, keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog in the weeks leading up to your trip, as Disney always likes to sprinkle extra pixie dust on the holidays.

I hope this was helpful, Greg, and that you will have the most wonderful time on your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any other questions or need more festive recommendations, please don't hesitate to reach back out. There is no better kind of magic than the one we make when we're all together!

Have a happy, merry, holly jolly day,

    Ariane
