Hi Daniel, and welcome back to planDisney!
Oh, how I love evenings in
Disney’s BoardWalk area. Watching the sunset over Crescent lake while enjoying a drink and a treat is one of my very favorite ways to spend an evening. It’s just dreamy!
As you’ve probably heard, some things are working a little differently right now as part of the
phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort. Currently, you must have a Table-Service dining reservation to visit a resort hotel where you are not a registered Guest. This means you may not park at any of the BoardWalk area resort hotels without a dining reservation; the security Cast Member will ask to see the reservation in your My Disney Experience Mobile app as you approach the parking booth. There is no public parking at Disney’s BoardWalk.
Daniel, I have two suggestions. One is to make a dining reservation at a BoardWalk area resort hotel restaurant. Enjoy a great dinner and then explore. The other option is to use a taxi or rideshare.
I’m not sure when you’re planning to visit, but I would keep an eye on the
Disney Resort Hotels Know Before You Go webpage to see if anything changes. As more resorts in this area open in the coming months, more entertainment and dining options may open up on Disney’s BoardWalk, and parking may become easier. I would also keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog, as they’ll be sure to share news about operational changes.
Another option to consider is a visit to
Disney Springs, which has free public parking and lots of great dining, shopping, and ambiance. I am counting down the days until my visit so I can get my hands on one of the legendary cookies from
Gideon’s Bakehouse. I hear their Peanut Butter Cold Brew is pure magic, too!
Wishing you a great big beautiful tomorrow,
Robyn
