Hello Shirley,
Thanks so much for bringing us your question here at planDisney.
Shirley, I'm sorry to hear you had some problems making your theme park reservations for your upcoming trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. I can imagine how excited you are for the trip, and how much you're looking forward to all the magic that awaits you. I can understand it's not very fun to experience issues like you did.
I can also understand it's difficult to experience long wait times like you did when you called for assistance. One alternative to calling the Walt Disney World Resort is to use the
online chat service. It can be helpful to try the chat service early when it opens at 7 a.m. ET. You can also use the "Chat with Us" feature in the
My Disney Experience mobile app. In the mobile app, you can tap the main menu (the stacked lines in the lower right) and tap the "Chat with Us" tile.
Without knowing the details of the issue you encountered, it's tricky for me to offer specific suggestions. I am happy to offer a few tips that, hopefully, could help with making theme park reservations.
There are a couple of common issues that could be encountered when making reservations using the
Disney Park Pass system.
One issue could be that the Disney Park Pass system does not see your theme park tickets linked to your My Disney Experience account. In this case, you might see a message like "Just a Moment, Invalid Admission" for a Guest without theme park tickets. To address this, you'll want to make sure that you link your theme park tickets to your My Disney Experience account. You can use the
"Let's Link Your Reservations and Purchases" feature to do this. If you have a vacation package with theme park tickets, use the option to link your Resort reservation or vacation package. If you are linking theme park tickets that you bought separately, you can use that option. After your theme park tickets are linked, you can use the Disney Park Pass system to make your theme park reservations.
Another issue could be related to the availability of theme park reservations. It's helpful to take a look at the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar to make sure that the theme parks you wish to visit have reservation availability for the dates you wish to visit. Looking at your arrival date, the calendar currently shows that EPCOT and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park have reservations available to select. It's helpful to know that reservations can be made available to select on an ongoing basis, so you might want to check back if the park you're wanting to visit shows no currently available reservations.
Shirley, I'm hopeful that these tips can help you address the issue you were seeing as you tried to make your theme park reservation. If you were experiencing a different issue, or are still finding you need assistance, my suggestion is to reach out to the Walt Disney World Resort by using the chat service mentioned above or by calling (407)-934-7639. Wait times on the phone lines can be long while Cast Members assist Guests, and they appreciate your patience.
Here's wishing you a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort stay, and here's wishing you lots of Disney magic in your day today!
Jerry
