this is probably silly but is there a way to know what popcorn buckets are available now at WDW?

Hey there, Cinthia! Thanks for POPping by planDisney.

There is no such thing as a silly question when it comes to planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Here at planDisney, we take our Disney snacks very seriously. I once mailed a Walt Disney World popcorn bucket to my dear friend and fellow panelist Kristen N., who was on the hunt for the Disney Snacks bucket design!

I have a few kernels of wisdom to share when it comes to popcorn buckets. In my opinion, the refillable popcorn buckets are one of the best Disney snacks, not only because Disney popcorn tastes like it's sprinkled with pixie dust, but because they are a great value: currently, refillable buckets cost $12 (and come filled with popcorn) and refills are $2 for the length of your stay (prices subject to change). On my recent visit, my family purchased two buckets because we love them so much (and, ahem, because we eat that much popcorn).

I'm sorry I don't have butter news for you, but there is no official listing of current popcorn bucket designs. The designs seem to change seasonally (though some classic designs last longer), and you can usually find different buckets at various locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort. When I visited last month, we started our visit at Disney's Hollywood Studios, where they were selling the same Star Wars design I collected in November 2019. The next day at Magic Kingdom Park, I spotted the cutest popcorn bucket featuring Mickey and pals as characters in classic attractions. Obviously, I had to have that one too!

I recommend following a few popular Disney fan sites on social media for popcorn bucket updates. Over on planDisney's Instagram page, we share our updates from inside the theme parks in our Stories; I hope you'll pop over to Instagram to follow along with us to see what we're snacking on and finding on our visits. I also recommend following the Disney Parks Blog; their Foodie News features are so much fun!

Thanks for stopping by with your not-silly-at-all question, and please come back and see us if we can help again. I hope you have buckets of fun on your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

    Wishing you much magic,
    Robyn
