    This is probably a really stupid question but does the dining plan cover cost of the food or is it just a guaranteed reservation?

    This is a great question! The Disney Dining Plan includes the actual meal options and is an added option when you purchase it along with a Magic Your Way Vacation Package. Making your dining reservations will be your guarantee that a table waiting for you when you arrive at your reserved restaurant. I can tell you from experience that the Disney Dining Plan is a great addition to any Walt Disney World Resort vacation package because of the vast choices of yummy meals you can encounter. No matter what you decide, your vacation will be unforgettable.
