What is the probability of getting a room request? How far in advance can I request one and when does the hotel actually look at my request? We LOVED the room we stayed in last time b/c of its location to the pool, the buses & boat access at the WL..

Great question Mary!  The Disney resorts will accept room requests from their guests and we suggest you make that first request when making the initial reservation.  About four to five days before you arrive is the time to send the second request and we suggest you do that via a FAX.

Please understand that these are indeed just requests and the resorts will do everything they can to make it happen.  But there are times when others have requested the same thing and these guests are still in rooms that new guests were hoping to occupy.  The resort room assigner will then do the best they can to give you something that is comparable. I can't imagine how they do this every day as it seems to be like a huge puzzle trying to make all the pieces fit so the end product is perfect!  But Disney is the place where magic happens and they seem to do it well!
