Welcome to planDisney, Laura, thank you for your question. I am excited to see that you are planning a visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort and want to know your options with your
theme park ticket.
You will be happy to know that you can leave the park and revisit the same park later that day. The only thing you cannot do without the Park Hopper Option is go from one theme park to another. Not only is leaving a park and coming back allowed but something I highly recommend to get the most out of your day, especially if you are staying at a
Disney Resort Collection hotel. My family and I enjoy a mid-day break from the parks to relax by the pool of our resort to reenergize for the late-night push!
I would caution you that although you can come and go from your original park, there is a risk that the park may reach capacity after you have left. Typically, this happens during very busy times of the year, such as the days leading up to Christmas Day and between Christmas and New Year’s. So, unless you are planning your visit during the holiday season, you should be free to come and go as you please. If you do run into this issue, I recommend speaking with a Cast Member at the nearest
Guest Relations location, available at all theme parks, water parks, Disney Springs, and ESPN Wide World of Sports, to see what options you may have, if any.
I hope this helps, Laura. Please feel free to
send me another question if you need more clarification!
