Hi Diane! Oh my goodness! 5 short days until you are at Walt Disney World Resort! I know you must be so excited!
Private strollers absolutely are allowed at Walt Disney World Resort. Wagons, however, are not permitted.
According to the
Walt Disney World Resort Park Rules, "strollers larger than 36"x 52" (92cm x 132cm) are not permitted." The same is true for "any trailer-like object that is pushed or towed by an Electronic Conveyance Vehicle, wheelchair or stroller, or pulled by a person, including wagons."
I love that rented strollers are available as needed but we always took our own stroller to Walt Disney World Resort when our kiddos were younger. They were more comfortable in their stroller and we had it with us to carry them (and all the items that accompanied them) throughout Walt Disney World Resort.
One suggestion is to bring a small blanket or towel with you when you are in the theme parks. During the day when you are parking your stroller, cover the seat and back with the blanket or towel. The stroller can get very hot in the warm Florida sun but the blanket or towel will help protect your toddler's skin. When you return to the stroller, remove it and then repeat as needed. As a bonus, you will have the blanket or towel for your toddler to use in the evening to cover up if a nap is needed and a blanket helps them get comfortable.
I would also suggest putting some kind of brightly colored ribbon (or something) on your stroller to help you identify it. You will be amazed by how many strollers you will see that look identical to yours when you are trying to find your stroller.
I'm so excited for you. You are going to be in awe seeing Walt Disney World Resort through the eyes of your toddler. Enjoy every magical moment!
