Hello, William!
Welcome back and thank you for your question! I love cruising with tiny Mouseketeers because you can visit beautiful places while always returning to a comfortable stateroom and a wonderful crew. A nap or a snack is never too far away...for kids or adults!
In-room babysitting is not currently available on Disney Cruise Line ships, but there is a truly wonderful space just for young guests! The
"it's a small world" Nursery is open to children from 6 months to 3 years old (or from ages 1 to 3 years old on select itineraries) and it is an amazing resource! Each ship nursery includes a special area for kiddos to get used to their surroundings, a main play area, and a quiet room for naps. With plenty of age-appropriate activities and fantastic Disney counselors to watch over everyone, it's almost as good as having a fairy godmother on staff!
Reservations are highly recommended and can be made online once your
activity booking window opens or by visiting the nursery once you board the ship. You'll also need to register each child, which you can do during online check-in. There is a small fee to use the nursery charged by the half hour.
Kids ages 3 to 10 are welcome to visit
Disney's Oceaneer Club and
Disney's Oceaneer Lab! In my experience, the hours and activities in these areas easily accommodate my husband and me hitting the gym, enjoying brunch, or catching a movie on our own. Sometimes the party doesn't stop in the kid clubs till the clock strikes midnight!
Edge (for tweens ages 11 to 14) and
Vibe (ages 14 to 17) also offer extended hours and a cool place for older kids to hang out while their parents do their own thing.
I hope these options will help your whole family have a great cruise, William!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
