John from NY Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Are there any private meet and greet options for WDW resort guests for an extra fee? Similar to characters that can be booked for wedding events. Is there a way to arrange a private meeting with mickey or minnie. Not talking about fastpass+ or visa card.

Hi John! This is a question that is often asked and it gets a bit complicated since there are many different options and costs involved.

You can start by going through the Disney Floral and Gifts department to see if their dream makers can develop a plan for you. Explain what you are looking for and needing and they will direct you to the proper department to get it going. The cost is steep with pricing being for a 30 minute visit. Locations must also be an enclosed and private area where other guests will not be observing the interaction.

You might also consider going through the Disney Catered Events group at 321-939-7278 or meetings@disneyworld.com. The rules change constantly and in the past private meetings had a minimum person requirement as well as private venue cost. Yes, it does get complicated and very costly but hopefully you will at least get some of your questions answered so you can decide if this is possible for you and your budget.

My family has had Minnie and Mickey at our own private events from weddings to vow renewals to baby showers to a special birthday event but they were for large groups and done through that department at Disney.
