Hiya, Jonathan. Welcome to
planDisney.
Jonathan, I love spending time at the
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels that are nestled around Bay Lake. I enjoy staying at them, dining at them, relaxing at them - you name it and I am pretty much there.
Right now, the boat connecting the resorts hasn't returned to us and I don't have any details on when it might. However, sometimes there is a bus that runs between
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and
Disney's Wilderness Lodge. If you are staying at either of those resorts, you can inquire about if and when at the front desk. My favorite way to get around from resort to resort over there is to take the boat to Magic Kingdom Park. From there, you can hop on the monorail and hit up Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Then, when you circle back to
Magic Kingdom Park you can hop on the boat to the other resort that you haven't visited yet. After your tour is complete, you can use a rideshare service to get back to your starting point. Rideshares in that area are pretty inexpensive because all of those resorts are so close together. Rideshares are able to pick you up right in front of the resort lobby and drop you off in the same spot once at your destination.
On my last
Walt Disney World visit a few weeks ago, my husband and I enjoyed a monorail lounge crawl for dinner one evening. We sat at different lounges found at the resort hotels and had a snack and a sip at each spot. We enjoyed pot stickers at Tambu Lounge at Disney's Polynesian Village, crab-baked macaroni and cheese at the Enchanted Rose at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and then we finished the night with short rib wontons and fireworks at Disney's Contemporary Resort. It was a magical and delicious evening!
I hope this helps you plan out your itinerary a little bit better, Jonathan. If you have any other questions about this, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Enjoy!
