Ahoy there, Mary! It sounds like you’re finalizing plans for an upcoming Disney Cruise, so I’m glad you sailed by planDisney with your question.
You should have received a
Guest Travel Booklet or Luggage Tag Folder before your sailing that includes two luggage tags for each member of your traveling party. But have no fear if you didn’t get those luggage tags in the mail. Although you cannot print luggage tags at home, porters are available once you arrive at the port with extra luggage tags. They will mark each checked bag with your reservation information and then you can expect to find your bags on the ship shortly after your stateroom is ready.
Speaking of staterooms, depending on when you embark, there’s a chance your stateroom won’t be ready yet, so make sure you not only keep your important travel documents in your carry-on bag, throw some things in there so you can start having fun onboard right away. For me, that means swimsuits, sunscreen, hats, towel clips, and an autograph book.
I also like to bring a reusable cup or mug for the complimentary soda you’ll find on the pool deck. Not only does it help keep me cool while soaking up the sun’s rays, but it helps differentiate whose cup is whose when we’re on deck.
If you need any more packing tips, review this packing list before your trip. And of course, don’t forget to bring all your favorite Disney shirts! If you forget anything or want to pick up a few souvenirs,
Mickey’s Mainsail is the place to shop on the ship. I always stop by during my cruise to check out the latest pins and Minnie ears they have to offer.
I love the anticipation that builds up as I watch the countdown on my
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app before my trip! If you think of any other questions before you set sail, don’t hesitate to head back to us here at
planDisney.
Bon voyage,
Sami
