Howdy, Andy! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm happy to help you out with your Disneyland Resort planning question today! After all, "you're my favorite deputy!" And since your visit is just around the corner, it is certainly best to be prepared before your arrival.
The
reopening procedures at the Happiest Place on Earth have been fluid and everchanging, always keeping Guest and Cast Member health and safety at the top of the priority list. However, one thing that has stayed constant through this "new normal" is the Theme Park Reservation System. Guests of Disneyland Resort theme parks are required to make a park reservation for the park they'd like to visit that day prior to their entry.
Andy, if you
purchased your tickets via the Disneyland Resort Website, you are prompted to choose a ticket date prior to checking out, as well as a starting park. Once your purchase is complete, those selections automatically become your park reservation, as well. You will not need to follow any additional steps, as the park reservation will be attached to your ticket once scanned at the turnstiles.
If you purchased your tickets through a third-party vendor or if you're using previously purchased tickets without a specific date, you are required to
make a theme park reservation separately. It is usually recommended that you do this as soon as possible after purchasing tickets to ensure that the dates you'd like to visit are not sold out. It is important to note that Guests without park reservations will not be able to enter the theme parks.
If you'd like to double check that you do have a park reservation, I can walk you through the process. First, visit the Disneyland Resort website and log in to your Disneyland account. On the home page, hover over the "My Disneyland" icon, then select "Tickets and Reservation Details" from the drop-down menu. Here, you will find any active tickets and theme park reservations attached to your account.
If you believe you should have a park reservation, but do not see it, or if you'd like a little extra help, it may be time to page star command! A Cast Member with
Ticket Services will be able to reach for the sky and answer any additional questions you have.
I know this process can be a bit tricky, but once you've located that elusive reservation, you can blast off to infinity and beyond on your Disneyland vacation! And if you spot your favorite characters while visiting the parks, feel free to give them a big squeeze!
Character Greetings have returned to the Disneyland Resort, solidifying its status as the Happiest Place on Earth!
Have a magical day!
