Hi Katrina,
Thanks for visiting planDisney! Your trip is just around the riverbend, and it’s time to prepare. Even the youngest members of our party need time to get ready, so I love that you want to help your son "study" for his upcoming trip!
The Family Adventure Map is not currently available to print, but you can get a
digital version of the regular park maps. Your son might find this helpful because it's a more accurate representation of what he’ll see when he arrives at the park. This can help him navigate and learn where things are located.
Once you arrive at the parks, you can ask a Cast Member at a
Guest Services booth, and they should be able to provide you with a Family Adventure Map. It’s a helpful tool for finding places to eat, knowing what to expect on rides, and locating companion restrooms. My little one is 4, and on our last visit, she really enjoyed using the Family Adventure Map to find characters in the park. It helped her stay busy while we waited in line.
You can also
check out a video of me and my fellow panelist McCayla using the Family Adventure Map on the Disney Parks YouTube channel.
Before heading to the park, I recommend exploring Disneyland Resort’s
services for guests who are neurodivergent. This can help you identify resources that may be beneficial for your son and your family during your visit. If you haven’t already, be sure to look into the
Disability Access Service (DAS) as well—it might be helpful for your son. When you arrive at the park, you can also stop by the
Accessibility Services Kiosk for more resources on navigating the park in a more accessible way.
I hope this helps, Katrina! If you have any more questions, feel free to reach out to me or any of the other planDisney panelists. We’re always ready to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your family’s Disney adventure.
Have a magical vacation!
