Hi Prince We need advice on excustions. Starting with Nassau. lIf we decide to go the Blackbeard’s Revenge Pirate Ship Adventure, can we combine this with other short excursions?

Hey there Rajen, and welcome aboard planDisney!

You may have come across some of my answers and advice here at planDisney, and I've certainly got a lot of insight to share when it comes to the Port Adventures to experience all around the world! As you prepare to set sail to Nassau, I'm happy to offer what nautical knowledge I can to help you decide on what to do with your day:

    • Typically in my experience, Disney Cruise Line may limit the ability for guests to book more than one Port Adventure if there's a chance that the meeting times (which are often set far in advance) and return times may overlap. This is what provides guests the peace of mind that even when they're booked on an excursion with Disney Cruise Line, that they can ensure a safe return to the ship in the event of any delays. Luckily, Blackbeard’s Revenge Pirate Ship Adventure (N23) often boards right alongside where the cruise ships are docked in Nassau but on my most recent cruise on the Disney Wish, guests were required to meet on board around 12:45 P.M. for an experience that lasted about 2 hours.
    • Looking at the variety of Port Adventures available in Nassau, the only way that might be achievable to book would be if you chose something that took place early in the morning for a shorter duration, and again later in the afternoon. I find that a great source of first-hand knowledge is always the Port Adventures Desk on board your ship as opposed to the shoreside Cast Members who may not directly work with the tour operators contracted in each destination; since departure and start times may be subject to change without prior notice on each voyage, asking the crew members on board directly about your best options has always been very useful when I've been interested in squeezing in an additional activity during my day.
    • Port times in Nassau may vary quite a bit between itineraries, which can directly affect how much you'll be able to do during the day. For example, this year the Disney Fantasy had guests ready to head All Ashore as early as 8:00 A.M. this past month while the Disney Magic had guests scheduled to return All Aboard by 4:45 P.M. so depending on your voyage, you might not have the wiggle room to be able to do a second shore excursion.
In my personal opinion, this experience is something I'd recommend for my nephews and niece who are on the younger end (below the age of 8) but definitely not the same level of entertainment and costuming you'd expect from Pirate Night events on board. I hope this helps, Rajen - don't hesitate to reach out to planDisney's Disney Cruise Line specialists for any other tips or advice when it comes to choosing your next adventures on land or at sea!

Wishing you all the best on your future Pirate quests!
