Hi Kristin,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. My son adores the
Disney Princesses, and we’ve dined at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall more times than I can count. The interior of the medieval castle is stunning, the food is drool-worthy (including one of my favorite desserts anywhere at Disney), and the opportunity to meet so many princesses all in once place make it a favorite for my family.
The Princess Processional is a very special part of the experience at
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. I always get happy tears watching the sweet kiddos parade around the hall with their favorite royals – the joy on their faces is unforgettable. The Processional happens at regular intervals, and no matter the reservation time, you'll have a chance to be part of it. As you are enjoying your meal, you’ll hear a royal proclamation throughout the restaurant, and that’s your cue that it’s time to join the fun. The Princesses also visit tables individually, so you’ll have the opportunity to meet each one and take photos throughout your dining experience. You can always ask your server about the timing of the Princess Processional – they will know the day’s schedule and will help you ensure you don't miss the magical moment.
Kristin, have an enchanting time at this royal dining experience! When the Royal Chef’s Dessert Plate is brought to your table, I highly recommend having a taste of the Rice Cream, which is a creamy rice pudding with a strawberry sauce. I was going to pass on it, but our server told me it’s her favorite comfort food from back home, so I politely took a taste – and WOW! It’s so, so yummy.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
