Welcome to planDisney, Norma! Thank you for stopping by with your questions about MagicBands. I have a few and love a good deal, so let’s get started!
Getting around the
Walt Disney World Resort got way easier once these little pieces of tech were introduced in 2013. Here we are 12 years later and they have evolved so much! From just colors to individual characters and so much more. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and the princesses are some of the more popular characters at the parks to meet with. The
MagicBands that are themed after them are also very popular. The best way to get a discount on MagicBands is with your package to stay and play at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. There aren’t any schedules that particular bands go on sale, and in my experience the seasonal and year based MagicBand usually do end up on sale. But you have to keep your eye out for those price drops and stay consistent on checking daily to know what is ready to gain the status of “add to cart.”
There are so many wonderful places to find MagicBands throughout the parks and resorts. Some of my favorite MagicBands are from resorts we called home for a week. The
BoardWalk Inn always has a cool design and changes the style from year to year, as do most of the other resorts. If you are looking for a more personalized option visit
Disney Springs. There is a store inside the
Marketplace Co-Op, D-Tech on Demand is a location that has all the mobile gadgets and cases for your devices. Even MagicBands and you can pay a small fee to have them customized with your name! A really awesome option if you wanted to treat yourself or at least take a look around if you happen to visit Disney Springs.
If you end up purchasing a MagicBand+ and are visiting
Hollywood Studios there is an awesome game you can play using your MagicBand+. When you visit
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, you can become a bounty hunter using the Play Disney Parks App. You will be able to track down bounties hidden throughout Batuu, and capture them to gain points for joining the Bounty Hunters Guild. There are stops to turn in these bounties, but only a sharp eye will be able locate all the locations to get paid on your jobs.
I hope this helps you find the right price and style of MagicBand that’s fits your Disney side. Head on back to
planDisney.com if you have any other planning needs and we will be ready help.
See ya real soon,
Jeremy A.
