    I am pricing out our options for a quick trip (5 nights) and wonder if I book the hotel through Disney travel and buy our passes through AAA do we still get to use extra magic hours? How does that work? Will they still issue key to the world passes?

    Hi Catherine!

    You can absolutely do this!  I've done it before as well when I could find Magic Your Way tickets at a better price somewhere else than through Disney.

    To have access to  Extra Magic Hours you just have to stay at a Disney resort hotel.  When you check-in at your resort, each member of your party will be issued a Key to the World card.  Besides being your room key, it identifies you as a Disney resort guest.  You will need that card and your tickets purchased through AAA to use Extra Magic Hours.  For example, you use your theme park tickets to get into the Magic Kingdom.  Later than night when there are evening Extra Magic Hours, you just show your Key to the World card.

    You just have to remember to carry both the Key to the World card and the Magic Your Way ticket for everybody in your party at all times when visiting a park!  As I said, I've done this many times myself.
