Hey there, Glenda!
Welcome to planDisney! I am so excited to see that you are planning a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth! Walt Disney World is not just magical, it is one of the best places to try outstanding dishes, sample unique small plates, and enjoy iconic treats that you cannot find anywhere else. I've been known to plan a trip or two around dining experiences and restaurant openings. I mean, can you blame me? The options are limitless and beyond delicious.
Glenda, I am so sad to report that the
Disney Dining Plan is currently unavailable. Any disappointment you are feeling is understandable. My Ohana and I are huge fans of this magical vacation package option and we miss it! Walt Disney World has voiced that the Disney Dining Plan will be back, so be sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for announcements regarding the return of this beloved package. This site is your go-to source for all the latest Disney Parks news. If the dining plan is to make a comeback before your arrival, you should be able to modify your current vacation package to add this option. I'll be wishing on a star that the plan is back before you arrive!
If your love of the Disney Dining Plan is the convenience of pre-paying, I recommend bringing
Disney gift cards along for your adventure. I suggest spending some time looking over
the dining options that your travel party prefers to make an estimated budget. This can be a fun way to start getting excited for all the must-try treats and dining reservations on your itinerary. You may even discover some fabulous new options that make the list. My current favorite meal is
brunch over at Kona Cafe located in
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Did you know you can dine at any of the Walt Disney Resort hotels, even if you are not staying there? Some of the best dining options are outside of the theme parks! Be sure to consider them when making your dining plans.
I hope that your upcoming adventure is memorable and magical!
We'll see ya real soon!
